A biological larvicide for mosquito larvae in standing water such as ponds, rain barrels, ditches, etc. This larvicide contains Bacillus thuringiensis subspecies israelensis. It can be used as soon as mosquito larvae (wrigglers) are seen in early spring and should be used every 7 to 10 days if larvae are present until the end of the summer season. Apply Aquabac granules evenly to the water’s surface at the rate of 100 granules/m2 (0.5 ml of product/m2). Prevention is the best method of eliminating mosquitoes and the threat of West Nile Viruses. The removal or emptying of rain gutters, discarded tires, etc reduces the breeding grounds and subsequent mosquitoes.
